I felt as if this guide had to be made, in my spare time, because a lot of people don't understand some things about the Star Wars Universe, and I blame myself for not making it clear and putting this off, as DM.
This guide should make your general knowledge much more 'diverse' and you won't have to ask so many questions.
GENERAL ITEMS AND THEIR EQUIVALENTS
Credits - Intergalactic Currency, used very commonly.
1 credit = 0.50 USD
Holocommunicator/Holocomm - Like the cellphones of Star Wars, except they can provide three dimensional 'calls' that will show a blue hologram of you talking into the holocomm. Most people have these.
Vibrosword/Vibroblade - Swords are still in style, in star wars. These weapons have the power to absorb lightsaber damage, making them extremely valuable and somewhat expensive, the material that is used in the process of forging these weapons is called Cortosis. Most people in the Star Wars universe at least owns one of these, or has the capability of owning one.
Blaster Pistols/Rifles/Weaponry - Nearly 99.99% of the ranged projectile-firing weapons in star wars are called Blasters because they shoot out lasers and all that shit. I'd prefer if you didn't call them guns, unless specified prior.
Speeder - The cars of Star Wars, and they do not touch the ground, but hover instead. They aren't usually run on fuel, or have those necessaries, but need to be maintained. Speederbikes are the motorcycle versions of these, and are commonly found elongated and travel faster than a regular landspeeder.
Locks and what they have become - Locks have evolved from key and pad to touchpads with numbers, or fingerprint identification, and complex security systems with mathematical equations. Slicing is the equivelant of lockpicking, and Slicing can be used to break into safes, doors, and even hack droids and other machinery. Keep in mind that brute force will not work on these, if not applied to an extreme amount, on most military-grade locks.
